It can reach the mark of zero to 62 miles per hour in just under eight seconds. The top speed is also impressive but as usual, it is an electronically limited speed of 46 miles per hour. Similarly, the 2.0 litre diesel engines of BMW are very agile and fuel economical even in any other models like the 3 series. In the 5 series, these models return the fuel economy of just under 70 miles per gallon. Again, one of the best fuel economy figures in the class and exclusively praised by the company car drivers for long hauls. When it comes to the clean and green features, BMW 520d diesel engines are cleaner than many rivals in the market. These engines emit just over 100 grams per kilometer to keep the road taxes way down to save more money. There is another version of the 520d models offered with all wheel drive configuration. The all new BMW 520d xDrive can run on all four wheels but will not save you money in terms of fuel economy. It has a fuel economy of around 60 miles per gallon. It is also a less clean model with carbon emissions of 119g/km.

BMW 5 series engines line up

BMW has introduced the 5 series with a bunch of engines and there are variants available, the diesel engines and the petrol engines, whatever you love to ride with. These petrol engines are cleaner too and they emit around 132g/km of carbon dioxide particles in the air. The price range starts from £40,120 for 2017 model. BMW’s next big thing is the 540i xDrive model that is capable of generating 335bhp. It is expected that the prices for the 530d diesel engines will start from around £43,835 in the UK market and these engines are capable of producing 261bhp of power output along with the mountain of torque from its diesel combustion. It has a twisting power of 620Nm of torque. From standstill to 62 miles per hour sprint, it takes only 5.7 seconds but these figures will reduce with the 530d xDrive models. The 530d xDrive models will cover the distance in 5.4 seconds. The diesel engines are now getting cleaner and cleaner with every passing day with the carbon emissions of 124g/km. the diesel engines are fuel economical too and BMW claims the fuel economy of more than 60 miles per gallon on average but on the motorway cruise, these figures will be even more pleasant.
