A Zafira Bursts into Flames and Vauxhall Issues a Massive Recall

After bursting into flames, Vauxhall has recalled more than 220,000 vehicles for inspection
Around 220,000 Vauxhall vehicles recalled after company has received number of complaints about Zafira and other models catching fire. This massive recall has been issued to inspect the vehicles that why they are catching fire. Last month, an investigation was launched when a Zafira 130 B model was reported unexpectedly set ablaze in recent weeks.So, Is Vauxhall admitting its Fault?
Not sure, but in a video message, Rory Harvey, the new chairman and managing director of Vauxhall has apologised its customers for the situation. He also explained the situation in detail in that message.Which models are affected?
Only Zafira models are reported by the customers so far, so only Zafira B models with manual air-conditioning system or even no air conditioning are affected and recalled. These models are approximately 220,000 in count and all are from the UK.Why vehicles caught fire?
According to the new chairman of the company, an evidence of improper repair has been found on the cars. There repairs are about blower motor resistor and a thermal fuse which is designed to protect the system. Further investigations are under way to confirm the actual issues.What customers should do if they have Zafira?
Customers are advised to undergo an investigation at their local dealership. This inspection is free of cost and all Vauxhall dealers are authorised to conduct the investigation. From November 12, company also sending out letters to the owners who have a Zafira b model. Any repairs or replacements of parts regarding these issues will be done free of cost. If vehicle stys overnight or more with the dealers, customers will be facilitate for their mobility needs.Categories
