Audi TT 1.8 TFSI Roadster gets 1.8-litre TFSI Engines

Audi TT 180 gets a new turbo 1.8-litre TFSI engine and it has several trims to select from…

The TT Roadster was introduced last year with a 2.0-litre petrol engine of 227bhp and a swift yet powerful TDI diesel engine. Now Audi has sliced around £3000 from the price of the new convertible roadster sport car with a new 1.8-litre TFSI turbo petrol engine. The new model has been priced from £29,000 approx. It’s available in the sport or S line in both hard top and convertible versions of coupe. Every model exclusively offers brilliant cockpit with virtual cockpit digital display and Xenon headlamps. However it has 18-inch alloy wheels. Body wise, it is very similar to its more powerful siblings.

 Audi TT Coupe Engines

Under the bonnet, the TT 180 gets turbocharged petrol engine. It is a 1.8-litre turbocharged engine acquired from the Leon FR. Performance wise it is not that best but can manage zero to 62 miles per hour in 7.2 seconds. It can hit the flat top speed of 140 miles per hour. Although it is not that fast but it has plenty of power to put some smile on your face when it crosses the 100 miles per hour mark.

Practicality of the TT Roadster

In fact, it is very easy to understand that how a TT roadster can perform on the road. It has loads of road grip, even it is a front wheel drive version. It has a sharp and attractive steering with remarkable front end handling.

Light and Playful Roadster

The all new Audi TT feels very light and playful on the road but being a small sports car, it lacks sportier sound and engine grunt. People complain that even when you use it with manual gearbox, it is more joyful but you still not get the dramatic sound track.

Fuel economy

Audi TT 180 Roadster has a fuel economy and will return 46.3mpg with the carbon emissions of around 142g/km. it is a sports car of a common man that offer flexibility and reliability.
