Car review: Ford galaxy specs
The all new Ford Galaxy is a top notch and is ready to rule the market with its appealing specs. It is no less than its predecessor. New rivals for Galaxy are Volkswagen Sharen and Seat’s Alhambra. The new model will come in three trim levels - Zetec, Titanium and Titanium X.Exterior Design
The car has borrowed some of its looks from the S-max. Front includes a prominent grille complimenting the headlights with its fabulous style. The headlights are comparatively sleek in the outlook.Versatile engine variants to pick from
The car offers multiple options of powerful Ford Engines which you can easily pick from according to your needs and performance expectations. Diesel engine has two options. A 2.0-litre TDCi Biturbo diesel engine with 207bhp and 332lb ft of torque and single-turbocharger offered with 118bhp, 148bhp and 178bhp possible outputs. Petrol engines include a 1.5-litre EcoBoost engine giving away 158bhp and its 2.0-litre EcoBoost variant boasting a power of 237bhp. The manufacturing company claims that CO2 emissions and fuel economy are also being improved in the latest model. The entire Galaxy range fulfills Euro6 standards of emission legislation. Later on an all-wheel drive version of the car will be out soon.Set a foot inside
The most noteworthy change is the replacement of old traditional cluster of buttons with a huge 10-inch digital display. This proudly offers an option of customization. The car can be called a true family car because of its endless storage options. You will be pleased to find bigger door bins and space for storage under the seat. Impressive isn’t it? Ford’s Sync 2 infotainment system is upright with a few changes rendering more appealing features. There is an additional third optional row of seats available that can be opened and folded by button on the console.A Safe Ride
The safety features are available with a little touch up now. Galaxy’s suite of safety assistance has been upgraded with a lot new features. New adaptive front lighting aids the driver according to the needs, a cross-traffic alert that warns the driver of any obstacles while reversing the car and a front split view camera system are to name a few.Adjusting Cabin Space
A wonderful addition, that Ford claims is the first time in MPV, is adjusting the cabin space according to your needs. There is a third row of seats which can be brought up from the boot floor merely by touch of a button. The button situated at the center of console is used to carry out this operation. If you don’t need seats as you are travelling alone, you can easily fold the second and third row of seats by pushing the same button. So go ahead and customize the cabin space according to your needs and desires. Additionally, the passengers in the rear most end get to have their own cup holders and arm rests. There is also ample headroom in there. They are also given control to manually adjust the temperature.Categories
