The German automotive technology giant “Schaeffler” has its own point of view about the future of automobiles

The critics say, the future of the automobile will be shaped by following fundamental factors,

1- Electrification of the drive

2- Increase in engine efficiency

3- Continuous digitalisation

4- Patterns of mobility

The Schaeffler is one of the world’ s leading development partner and supplier of technologies, adopts a proactive strategy and understand the importance of the above-mentioned factors ahead of time. Schaeffler is bringing new products and innovative solutions under the nameplate “Mobility for Tomorrow” at the International Motor Show (IAA). The experts at Schaeffler argue that there is a paradigm shift in the automotive engineering industry, as the demand for new engine technologies is increasing and getting complex and competitive with every single day. Schaeffler has developed technologically sophisticated systems and introduces complete new ranges of products and IT solutions. The company has developed innovative systems for engines, chassis, transmission and electric mobility applications. The main focus is on to increase efficiency, complete electrification, and performance enhancement. However, reduction in fuel consumptions and CO2 emissions are still top most priorities in the automobile world. The question arises, what Schaeffler is bringing to the world at IAA 2015? The answer is revolutionary “glass car” a model which comprises 40 Schaeffler products and new technological developments. The model has “digital display”, it will provide in-depth details to viewers. The new Electromechanical system based on “power on demand” technique. It helps to reduce fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. Meantime, this system introduces new automated function which enables declutching in manual transmissions whereas traditionally it uses hydraulic systems. Apart from it, the new electromechanical systems require less energy and use power on demand. (Only when needed) Schaeffler has years of experience in software management and it produces a huge range of engineering applications. The new applications enable manufacturers to bring a higher degree of electrification in their vehicles. Schaeffler has made new P2 high-voltage hybrid module which will bring new solutions for electrification of vehicles. The new generation P2 hybrid module will help to generate a torque of up to 800Nm. It is a quite revolutionary addition for plug-in hybrid vehicles as it further reduces CO2 emissions and fuel consumptions. There is a lot more to explore at International Motor Show (IAA 2015).
