This engine is very economical in fuel consumption due to eight-speed automatic gearbox that is more impressive than the six-speed automatic gearbox. Petrol engines are excellent in performance

In petrol engines, Jaguar has used V6 and V8 engine in its XJ series, both categories are powerful and efficient in performance. In petrol engine lineup, there is a 3.0-Litre Supercharged petrol unit that is capable of 335bhp and 332lb/ft torque. It is a powerful engine and takes 5.7 seconds to get from 0-62m/h. Top speed of this powerful engine is 155m/h. Fuel consumption of this engine is not in the record but Co2 emissions shows that it offers round about 30m/g of fuel average. Its CO2 emissions are 224g/km. This petrol unit is fitted with eight-speed automatic gearbox and rear-wheel drive system as standard. In 5.0-Litre petrol engine category, there is a 379bhp and 380lb/ft torque version. It is a massive engine of eight-cylinder and thirty two-valve. It is a powerful engine with great thirst for the fuel. It takes 5.5 seconds to reach from 0-62m/h along with top speed of 155m/h. Fuel average of this giant is just 24m/g and Co2 emissions are 264g/km. In this sense, Jaguar XJ is not environmental friendly vehicle. This petrol unit is fitted with six-speed automatic gearbox and rear-wheel drive as standard. Second version of this V8 engine is a powerful giant that is capable of 502bhp and 470lb/ft torque. It is really fast in performance. It takes 4.7 seconds to get from 0-62m/h along with 155m/h top speed. Its fuel average is just 25m/g along with 264g/km of Co2 emissions. It is fitted with eight-speed automatic gearbox and rear-wheel drive system as standard.

Jaguar XJ offers an exceptional driving experience

About its great driving experience, experts have their opinion that its normal and long-wheel based models are equally great in driving and giving nice and smooth driving experience. Its 3.0-Litre V6 diesel engine is the perfect and best choice in experts’ eyes. Its handling is superb though it is a big luxury saloon but its turning circle is very acute due to its sheer and cutting length. Its safety and reliability is good one but not exceptional

Jaguar has made luxury brands in competition of German brands such as Mercedes and Audi but it can’t compete them in reliability. Though Jaguar has made the most luxurious brands of the market but its products are less reliable than the products of German automaker. In reliability, Jaguar was at 50th place out of 150 in 2015 poll. In 2016 poll it was on 137th out of 160 in reliability and at 86th place out of 150 in built quality. Other luxury brands like BMW, Mercedes and Audi are far better than the Jaguar in this question. As far as its safety features and equipments are concerned, it has not been tested by Euro NCAP testing authority. Jaguar as a manufacturer is very confident about its five star score. It is made by all aluminum light weighted but extra strong shell along with DSC (Dynamic Stability Control) System. Plenty of airbags with side curtains, blind spot warning system, front and rear parking sensors, pedestrian protection system along with cruise control and efficient anti lock braking system is available to support this luxury brand of the market. Traffic sign detection system, lane departure system and speed limiter are installed in this motorcar.
