With a bunch of Mercedes-Benz engine, C-Class Coupe is a smart performer

It will not be wrong to say a wild wolf in the costume of innocent sheep, every Mercedes-Benz is always something like that and so the C-Class. All new C-Class coupe is a shrouded into two-door version of saloon. New model sits around 15mm lower to focus on its sportier nature with sharp curves. Just like all other Mercedes-Benz C-Class engines, all engines in the coupe line-up also capable of running over 140 miles per hour with a 0-62 miles per hour sprint time of just under eight seconds.

Powerful Engines Line-up

Apart from the swift range of AMG C63 engines, Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe offers some powerful engines for extreme performance. There are four in total with two diesel and a pair of petrol engines.

Mercedes-Benz C200 Petrol engines

Mercedes-Benz C200 and C300 models offer petrol engines with the same 2.0-litre four cylinder configuration and two different power outputs making four petrol options in total in the C-Class. Mercedes-Benz C200 engines cranking 181bhp of power with a hefty torque of 229lb-ft to the rear wheel drive C-Class Coupe. The full delivery of power starts from 1200rpm only and ensures that it is performing swiftly at any stage.

C-Class Coupe transmissions

A six speed manual gearbox is offered as standard on entire C-Class line-up however, it is not the end of this world at Mercedes-Benz because a seven speed automatic is also available as an option. Both gearboxes have the top speed of 147 and 146 miles per hour respectively and get 7.6 seconds and 7.7 seconds to reach the 62 miles per hour from stand still.

The C300 for More Power

If you are in the need of speed like urgency, C300 with 242bhp and 350lb-ft of torque is the best choice for you. All this volcanic swirl of power starts flowing from only 1,300 rpm. It is available with only seven-speed automatic transmission and there is no option available apart from this. An electrically controlled 155 miles per hour speed is claimed with six seconds from zero to 62 miles per hour.
