January 14, 2016
2017 E-Class arrives in Detroit with 241 bhp turbocharged Mercedes-Benz engine and the S-Class exterior
Mercedes-Benz arrives at the Detroit Motor Show with its elegant E-Class. It follows the traits of its younger brother, the C-Class and adopted the exterior cues of S-Class. It also gets S-Class inspiration to build the interior of the E-Class. The all new E-Class is more than two third of an S and features similar grille and front end. The rear end of the Mercedes-Benz E-Class is also borrowed from the S-Class but overall, shape of the luxury looks like a down scaled S-Class.Dive into the E-Class
The E-Class interior is highly sophisticated and built to maintain high standards of the class. Just like the C-Class and the S-Class interiors, there are plenty of real metal drawls and the wide ribbons of wooden trims on the dash. It is not less luxurious than any other Mercedes-Benz saloons. The new dual screen infotainment system and instrument cluster is just awesome and extends the beauty of the interior.Mercedes-Benz E-Class engines
All new Mercedes-Benz E-Class 2017 will be offered in the U.S. with a 2.0-litre four cylinder turbocharged Mercedes-Benz E-Class engine. This Mercedes-Benz engine will crank out 241bhp of power and 273 lb-ft of torque.Power transmission
The power coming from the engine will be transferred to the wheels through a standard 9G-Tronic nine speed automatic transmission. However the U.S. buyers will be limited to the E250 or E300 versions for very long. Based on the official images released in the European markets, E220d and a plug-in E350e and E400 it is expected that Mercedes will soon flesh out the U.S. engine range with its latest Mercedes-AMG E63 engine series. All new E-Class has been packed with some amazing technology to fit in the luxury class.Categories
