Will Audi A3 Facelift Get Fame With 3-Cylinder Engines?

Audi A3 has been revealed with 1.0-litre 3-cylinder engines and a host of new technologies

The all new refreshed Audi A3 model line-up has been revealed with a new look and exclusively refined 3-cylinder engines to kick-off the range. It has been offered with a range of new technologies and definitely a facelift as well however, a new digital instrument display has been added to the interior of the car.It also receives a great assortment of new safety technologies along with semi-autonomous traffic jam assistance system and vehicle controls.

When it is coming?

The second generation of the A3 is coming to the showrooms in around couple of weeks. There will be a hatchback, five-door Sportback and 4-door saloon, however, there will be a two-door cabriolet guise.

Audi A3 engines

The updated Audi A3 has been offered with two petrol engines where a 1.0-litre 3-cylinder petrol engine is capable of generating 118bhp with a turbocharger and a 187bhp version of 4-cylinder 2.0-litre engine.

The S3 engines

The S3 has been offered with a 2.0-litre four cylinder turbocharged engine that adds 10bhp extra to take it to 306bhp. There are several transmission options available from an optional S-tronic dual clutch automatic gearbox to highly revised manual transmissions. These transmissions work well with 151lb ft and 295lb ft of torque. There is a standard six-speed manual gearbox offered or buyers can opt for a newly developed 7-speed dual clutch S Tronic transmission on the most engines. Both front and rear wheel drive versions are available on the Audi A3 2.0-litre TFSI engines.

An optional virtual cockpit technology has been introduced on the Facelifted Audi A3 for the first time. It consists of 12.3-inch screen and it lets the drivers to choose from several functions like the classic view and entertainment mode. There is a bunch of safety systems offered and it will make a great standing in the market on its arrival in couple of weeks in the UK.
